setup email on your iPhone

  1. Go to Settings, select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  2. Then Add account...of type Other.
  3. Enter your iiNet email account info and hit Save.
  4. Select IMAP and fill in the rest of your access details, using mail.iinet.net.au as the hostname for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
  5. Hit Save — your phone should now try to connect to the server.

If your phone displays a message asking to connect without SSL, you can pick Yes to finish setting up your account. Either way, your setup is now complete.

 

Geek Speak Tip — SSL encrypts information sent between your phone and our mailservers — connecting without it is less secure, particularly on a wifi network, however 3G access is still quite safe. In the coming months, we'll be working to fully support SSL access for your mobile email.
