Contact Centre: (Restored at 18/08/2010 06:45:39)

Due to stability issues with our link to the Cape Town contact centre, customers calling iiNet may be faced with higher than usual wait times.

Technical Summary:

Emergency power works carried out by an upstream carrier caused outages on our link.

Resolution:

Our third party provider will perform works.
Update 2:52pm WST: Today's cause of loss of connectivity occurred at multiple points in the path between is and Cape Town. These issues have been fixed, although we will still continue to monitor closely.
Update 3:27pm WST: We lost connectivity to Cape Town for a few minutes just after 3pm WST. No impact was realised in wait times for customers.
Update 11:00am 25/7: Works are scheduled to cut back over to our primary link path at approx. 4am WST 26/7 - well outside of Cape Town operating hours.
FINAL UPDATE: Working with our provider several scheduled outages were carried out to rectify the problems seen.
